Abstract
The result of the biological activity showed that the LC50 of silafluofen against the 3rd larval of Nilaparvata lugens were 9.98 mg/L,which was 14.14 times than that of pymetrozine. The results of field test demonstrated that silafluofen had favorable quick-acting and persistent effects for controlling Nilaparvata lugens. The effect of silafluofen 5% EC at the dose of 1500-4500 mL/ha was 76.39-94.00% after 3 days, and still 73.88-89.22% after 21 days at the dose of 3000-4500 mL/ha. So silafluofen 5% EC at the dose of 3000-4500 mL/ha is recommended for controlling Nilaparvata lugens from control effect and economic point of view.
