Abstract

Saussure is the founder of structural linguistics and also the pioneer of Semiotics.It is proposed by him that the differences between Signifie and Signifiant indicate the birth of Semiotics.In Saussure's view,language is a semiotic system,while Linguistics is nothing more than Semiotics.Views on Semiotics of Saussure were discussed in this article.
