Abstract
Objective:To evaluate VIEWS dynamic enhanced MRI for breast-conserving surgery.Methods:38 cases of breast cancer, surgically and pathologically proved, were enrolled in our series. The cases detected by preoperative CR mammography, ultrasonography,MRI were analyzed. Results:Preoperative MRI detected 38 cases of breast cancer, including 12 cases of multicentric lesions.Preoperative CR mammography detected 17 cases of breast masses.Preoperative ultrasounography deteced 37 cases of breast masses, including 3 cases of multicentric lesions.CR mammography did not find any multicentric lesions. The primary negative margin rate was 95%(17/18) in the 18 patients undergoing breast-conserving surgery. Conclusion:VIEWS dynamic enhanced magnetic resonance imaging has the superiority to detect breast cancer with multicentric lesions and extensive intraductal filtration, which suggests it is useful to determine the indication and the extent of surgical excision in breast-conserving surgery.
