Abstract
Objective To evaluate the feasibility of MRI in breast conserving surgery.Methods 51 cases with breast cancer undertaken preoperative MRI examinations,of which 44 cases at the same time made B-ultrasound examinations,respectively.analysis were done and evaluated wether the patients were suitable for breast-conserving surgery or not.Results MRI could accurately evaluate the breast cancer location,size,pectoral violations,the scope of infiltration,the number,the breast skin and axillary lymph node status.19 cases(37.25%)performed the BCS according to the MRI results,and the rate in line with pathological results was 86.52%.26 cases(50.98%)performed the BCS according to the B-ultrasound results,the rate in line with pathological results was 80.46%.Conclusion MRI can provide a more comprehensive and accurate information to patients with early breast cancer for screening breast-conserving surgery and the application of MRI to evaluate the breast-conserving surgery in early breast cancer was feasible.
