Clinical observation of cold light whitening kit of Beyond in the treatment of discolored teeth

Objectives:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of teeth bleaching by Beyond cold light whitening kit and the adverse reactions were observed at the same time.Methods:60 patients with discolored teeth were bleached with Beyond cold light whitening Kit.The changes of teeth's color were evaluated by VITA shade guide matching,and the decolorizing effect,the sensitivity of tooth and gum damage were observed during and after the treatment.Teeth color were reviewed 1 month,3 months and 6 months after the bleaching.Results:After treatment,the subjects with yellow tooth exhibited an average increase of 7.64-levels from baseline and the effective rate of the patients was 100%.The subjects with tetracycline stained tooth exhibited an average increase of 5.98-levels from baseline and the effective rate was 66.7%.Tooth sensitivity occurred in subjects during and after bleaching,and lasted about 24 to 72 hrs.About 11.8% of the subjects were accompanied with eroded gum and the symptoms quitted after 24 to 48 hrs.Conclusion:Beyond cold light tooth whitening kit is a quick,effective and safe method in dental bleaching,which is worthy of clinical application.
