Clinical evaluation of Beyond II cold light teeth whitening on tooth bleaching

Objective: To investigate the clinical application of BeyondⅡ cold light whitening kit on teeth bleaching.Methods: 56 patients were treated with Beyond Ⅱ cold light whitening kit. The changes were recorded by matching the color changes with the Vita shade guide before and after treatment. Results: There were significant changes after BeyondⅡ cold light whitening treatments, and the total effective rate reached up to 87.5%, in which tetracycline group was significantly lower than the age-related stained teeth and dental fluorosis group(Age-stained teeth: P 0.01. dental fluorosis:P 0.05). Teeth whitening agent for a variety of stained teeth markedly varied among age-group, and the result of stained teeth and invalid results were more significant(P 0.01). Most patients complained of continuous pain at the start of bleaching, but the symptoms reduced in a week after the treatment. Conclusion: Beyond II cold light whitening is a simple, safe and effective method on treatment of tooth discoloration.
