Abstract

Objective: To study the relationship between carotid atherosclerosis and cerebral infarction,and to estimate the effect of carotid atherosclerosis on cerebral infarction.Methods: 106 cases of patients who were proved acute cerebral infarction underwent color Doppler ultrasonography examinations,and 66 cases of normal group as control group.Results: The positive rate of the cerebral infarction patient group was 81.1%,there was a significant difference compared with the control group(42.4%)(P0.01).Conclusion: Carotid atherosclerosis is the dangerous factor for cerebral infarction.The early diagnosis and intervention is necessary.
