Abstract

Straight cemented carbide tools and coated carbide tools were used in slow and high speed dry turning Ti-6Al-4V alloy. The tool life and tool wear of both tools were examined at two different cutting conditions, and the performances of straight cemented carbide tools and coated carbide tools in machining Ti-6Al-4V alloy were then compared.
