Abstract
Dioctyl phthalate was synthesized using di n octyl tin oxide as an aprotic acid catalyst. The fators effecting reaction were discussed. The optimum reaction conditions were as follows: phthalic anhydride is 100mmol, n(phthalic anhydride)∶n(iso octyl alcohol)∶n(di n octyl tin oxide)=1∶3∶0.0028, reaction temperature is 184℃~220℃, reaction time is 3.5h with the yield over 98%.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
