Abstract

Objective To study the effect of diallyl disulfide(DADS) on human gastric carcinoma MGC803 cells proliferation through blockage in G2/M phase. Methods Inhibition of DADS on MGC803 cells proliferation was measured by MTT assay. The effect of DADS on MGC803 cell cycle was detected by flow cytometry. Results Inhibition ratio of DADS of 30mg/L, 60mg/L and 90mg/L on MGC803 cells were 31.58%±2.20%, 53.87%±4.50%, 81.58%±1.7%,respectively. With the increase of DADS concentration, the rate of G0/G1 phase cells was decreased, while the rate of G2/M phase cells was increased. Condusion DADS can inhibit the proliferation of human gastric carcinoma MGC803 cells, through the blockage of G2/M phase and inhibition of cell division.
