Abstract

The paper analyzes the effects of location, natural resources, population, economy, technology, policy and innovation factors on regional industry competitiveness. Then the paper brings out some important characteristics of regional industry competitiveness which are factors restrict, regional unity of sectoral structure and spatial structure, variety, openness and complexity. Finally the paper suggests a new research approach to regional industry competitiveness.
