Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between CT value and time and,the CT signs in early cerebral infarction. Methods The intraluminal thread occlusion model in the middle cerebral artery of rats was established.Serial scans in coronal planes were performed at 2,3,4,6,8,12 and 24 hours after occlusion. The CT signs of cerebral infarction, mean while measured CT values of both infracted and healthy brain tissues were analyzed, then the differences calculated. Results the hypodense lesion could be observed by naked eyes at least 3 hours after cerebral infraction. The CT value differences of both sides bear a statistically significant linear relationship with time. Conclusion Cerebral infarction due to blood vessel embolism could be diagnosed at least 3 hours after middle cerebral artery occlusion. It suggests that the occlusion time could be evaluated by the differences of CT values.
