Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of azastron hydrochloride in prevention of naesea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy.Method Fifty-two patients were randomized to treament group(26 cases) and control group(26 cases).Results The rates of nausea-free were 96.2% and 92.3%,the rates of vomiting-free were 100% and 88.5%,and the rates of constipation were 42.3% and 57.7% in azastron and ondansetron groups respectively.Conclusion Azastron is effective in treatment of nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy,and its side effects are mild.
