The effect analysis of information management system for nursing adverse events

Objective To analyze the effect of information management system for nursing adverse events.Methods In 2013,an Information System to report and manage nursing adverse events was used in our hospital. Based on Hospital Accreditation standards,QC targets and standards were revised. Nursing care safety and quality assurance management group appertained to Nursing Department was established,which checked the implementation of the targets and retrospectively supervised and inspected adverse events reported which would be analyzed quarterly. Results The safety event reporting rate and nursing care of adverse event reporting rate in 2013 were higher than that in 2011 and 2012( P 0. 05). In 2013,the qualified rate of grading nursing,nursing documents writing qualified rate and nursing safety qualified rate were higher than that in2012( P 0. 01). Nurses for management satisfaction rose from 89. 0% in 2013 to 96. 0% in 2012( P 0. 01). Conclusion Usage of information system to report and manage nursing adverse events could significantly increase the report rates in nurses,and avoid similar events so as to improve nursing quality. At the same time,it not only improve nurses' enthusiasm and satisfaction but the insurance of patients' safety and satisfaction.
