Management and Control of Guangxi-Vietnam Border Trade in the Early Qing Dynasty

In the early Qing Dynasty,as an approach of intercourse,the border trade between Guangxi and Vietnam gradually proceeded along with the effective rule of the Qing Dynasty over Guangxi area.At the same time,the governors of the Qing Dynasty reinforced the management and control over Guangxi-Vietnam border trade in order to consolidate their reign and stabilize the frontier.This paper mainly expounds the attitude,management strategy and measures of the Qing rulers on Guangxi-Vietnam border trade.Moreover,it also analyzes the Qing rulers' train of thoughts and principles on managing Guangxi-Vietnam border trade.
