Abstract
The Devonian strata are well developed and widely distributed in Jiangxi, which are mainly composed of the strata of non-marine facies, but with some intercalation of marine facies in the western and southern Jiangxi areas.Owing to the development of varying degrees and depositing features in various sections,it can be subdivided into several stratigraphic zones. This paper deals with the characteristics of the lithostratigraphic units and their classification and corrlation in every zones, and discusses the Devoni an biostratigraphy in Jiangxi Province.
