Clinical Observation of Yang's multiple tapping and cupping for the treatment of neck type cervical spondylosis

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Yang's multiple tapping and cupping in treating neck type cervical spondylosis. Methods Sixty-six cases were randomized into treatment group and control group,with 33 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated by Yang's multiple tapping and cupping therapy,and control group was treated by routine acupuncture,with the course of 5 weeks. VAS and NPQ pain scale were used to evaluate the therapeutic effects. Results 1 The overall effective rate was 96. 70% in the treatment group and 84. 85% in the control group,with a difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups(P 0. 05). 2 There was significant difference in pain VAS score before and after the treatment in both groups(P 0. 05); after treatment,there was significant difference in pain VAS score and its difference value between the two groups( P 0. 05). 3 There was a statistical difference in NPQ score between before and after the treatment in both groups(P 0. 05),and after treatment,there was a statistical difference in NPQ score between the two groups(P 0.05). Conclusion Yang's multiple tapping and cupping has curative effect on cervical spondylosis. This method can improve the clinical symptoms,alleviate pain and discomfort of neck and improve the quality of life of patients.
