Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of ketamine on inflammatory factors and oxygen free radical in patients during one lung ventilation(OLV).Methods Twenty-four patients with lung cancer undergoing lung resection were randomly divided into two groups with 12 cases each:ketamine(group K)and control(group C).Blood samples were taken after induction of anesthesia(T1,baseline),at OLV 45 min(T2),OLV 90 min(T3),and 2 h after operation(T4)for determination of serum TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8,IL-10,SOD and MDA concentrations. Results Serum TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-8 concentrations were all significantly increased at T2(P0.05)and Serum IL-10 was increased at T3(P0.05).Serum TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-8 concentrations were lower at T3,T4 and IL-10 was higher in group K than those in group C(P0.05).Serum MDA concentration was significantly higher at T3,T4(P0.05)than T1 in both groups, and was lower at T3,T4 in group K than in group C(P0.05).Serum SOD concentration was significantly lower at T3,T4(P0.05)than T1 in both groups, and was higher at T3,T4 in group K than in group C(P0.05).Conclusion Ketamine could alleviate the inflammatory reactions of pulmonary during OLV.
