Abstract

OBJECTIVE To investigate the chemical constituents in Rosa chinensis Jacq.METHODS The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,and recrystallization,et al.Their structures were elucidated by spectral analysis and physicochemical properties.RESULTS From petroleum ether fraction and chloroform fraction of water extraction of Rosa chinensis Jacq.,the structures of 15 compounds were identified as β-sitosterol(1),campesterol(2),cycloeucalenol(3),oleanolic acid(4),ursolic acid(5),myrianthic acid(6),euscaphic acid(7),kaempferol(8),quercetin(9),campherol-3-O-β-D-glucoside(10),campherol-3-O-β-D-sophoroside(11),quercetin-3-O-β-D-sophoroside(12),quercetin-7-O-β-D-gentiobioside(13),campherol-3-O-β-D-(6″-O-trans-p-coumaroyl)-glucoside(14),and apigenin-7-O-(6″-O-p-hydroxy benzyl)-β-D-glucoside(15).CONCLUSION Compounds 2,4,5,6,7,12,13,14 and 15 are obtained from the plant for the first time.
