Reading Notes of the Buddhist Scripture Zabaozangjing

The translation of Chinese Buddhist scriptures produced a large number of Buddhist documentaries .New words (not technical terms of Buddhism) and new senses emerged,being an unnegligible element that influences the development of the Chinese Language.But in view of the compilization of several current large scale dictionaries ,we can find a common phenomenon of overlooking documentaries of Chinese Buddhist scriptures, as a result of which some lexical items can't be included and their interpretations aren't complete. Consequently,it can't reflect the historal development of Chinese . The author cites many cases from zabaozangjing in order to explain the function of Buddhist vocabulary in the dictionary compilation.
