Abstract

The words translated from Buddhist scripture in ancient China are very complicated. These words have many forms. “The same words with the different meaning and “different words with the same meaning are two main types of them. They constitute a certain proportion in Chinese Buddhist scripture; have revealed some important characteristics in Buddhist scripture translation. The emergence of these words has promoted the development of Buddhist culture in China, enriched the treasure-house of ancient Chinese language and thought.
