Abstract
The thesis takes Duan-song,a term related to music accompaniment in the Za-ju Opera in the Song Dynasty as the subject,applies mainly the Document Science approach,together with philological and comparative study,to supply the readers with some new insights on the denotation and function of Duan-song.
