Abstract

The combination of inclined blasting of burying the barrel chambers at center-section 380 meters of the cofferdam and the deep-hole blasting at the two ends was employed in Three Gorges Project's Ⅲ-phase upstream roll compact concrete cofferdam demolition. The paper analyzed the reliability of the cofferdam and described in detail the design of the blasting parameters and ignition network. The paper also briefly introduced the blasting construction and the blasting effect.
