A Study of Current Conditions and District Allocation for General Hospitals in Shanghai City

Abstract

Objective Constructing a multilevel health service system which could satisfy the need of the citizen in Shanghai City and have Chinese special features,characteristics of the times,and characteristics of Shanghai's health care system.Methods Cross-sectional study,time series analysis and expert interview were used in this study.Results Comparing to national status,not only are the allocations of general hospital high in Shanghai City,but the service quantity is high too.However,the allocation in 19 districts is not reasonable.Conclusions The resources should be allocated more reasonably according to the government's request,and hospital groups ought to be set up reasonably too.
