Abstract
[Objective] The research aimed to study the disruptive effects of Fluorescent Brightener 28(FB28) on the peritrophic membrane(PM) protein of Spodoptera exigua larvae.[Method] PM proteins were got by SDS-PAGE after the larvae were reared with diets containing 1.00%,0.10% and 0.05% FB28,respectively.[Result] SDS-PAGE of PM treated with FB28 in vivo showed that some proteins with high molecular weight disappeared after the larvae were reared with diets containing FB28 for 4 h,and PM protein restored after rearing the larvae on the diet without FB28 for 4-16 h.[Conclusion] FB28 could have effect on PM protein of Spodoptera exigua.
