Abstract

Contents of 12 elements, namely Si, Mn, P, S, Cr, Ni, Cu, V, Ti, Mo, As and Al in low- and medium-alloy steels were determined by Philips PW 2403 X-ray fluorescence spectrometer. The interference correction factors for individual elements and that for the steel matrix were given. The method was found to be accurate, sensitive, stable and fast in operation.
