Abstract
According to the demand of many-sided literary reform and development, Qiancao-chenzhong Society had constructed the system of literary theory, which had distinctive dualistic trend:“art for art's sake and“art for life's sake. And its formation not only was decided by the Society's peculiar cultural thinking and psychology, but also related to the extensive influence of Chinese and foreign literature it had accepted. The dualistic literary outlook had dual meanings: the former strongly reflected the demand of anti-feudal era, and the latter actively manifested its concern over the reality and life.
