The Predicament and Tendency of the Development of Contemporary Literature Criticism

The construction of contemporary literature criticism has not only gained extraordinary achievements,but also revealed several problems. It is known that the development of literary theory is not only influenced by its own inherent mechanism,but also driven by main factors such as politics and economy,foreign discourse of literary theory,and practice of criticism. Due to the transfer of social concern focus and its own discourse mode transformation's and theory construction's lagging behind the development of literary reality,the development of contemporary literary criticism is facing the new predicaments. The literary criticism cannot gain further development unless these predicaments can be got rid of. Therefore,the literary criticism should emphasize literary criticism practice's influence on the theory construction by putting more attention to literary reality and experience. Moreover,the literary criticism should strengthen its own power of practice to emphasize and give prominence to criticism's function of theory construction by the means of taking active part in the construction of ontic theory and enhancing its explanation of literary reality.
