Abstract
Objective To investigate the ultrasonic diagnosis value in differentiating malignant from benign lesions of diffuse type hashimoto's thyroiditis combining with nodus'.Methods Sixty-six cases which had been diagnosed with diffuse type hashimoto's thyroiditis combining with nodus' by the ultrasound were compared with the operation pathology results. Results Twenty-four cases were papillary carcinoma,9 cases were follicular carcinoma,1 case was undifferentiated carcinoma,1 case was medullary carcinoma,1 case was lymphadenoma,6 cases were adenoma,21 cases were nodular goiter,3 cases were burning nodus. The ultrasound diagnosis sensitivity was 83.3%,specificity was 76.6%,accuracy was 80.3%.Conclusion The ultrasound is very valuable in differentiating malignant from benign lesions of the diffuse type hashimoto's thyroiditis combining with nodus's.
