Abstract
Objective To assess the value of two dimensional and color doppler ultrasonography in diagnosis of Hashimoto thyroiditis(HT) with nodular lesions.Method 48 cases of HT with nodular lesions were analyzed about the ultrasonographic image characteristics. Results The volume of thyroid increased in 40 cases with different degrees.Single nodule appeared in 15 cases, among which 3 cases were papillary carcinoma,2 cases were follicular adenoma.Multiple nodules were in 33 cases among which 4 cases were papillary carcinoma,3 cases were with follicular adenoma and 5 cases were with nodular goiter.Color doppler flow imaging showed that blood flow obviously increased in 5 cases, decreased in 5 cases, and normal blood flow in other cases. Conclusion Ultrasonography has high value in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of HT with nodular lesions.
