According to the resource journals from SCI covered by the SCI Journal Citation Report in 2006, a statistical analysis on 88 sci-tech journals about microbiology is made. The results show that these 88 sci-tech journals are published in 16 countries with 3 languages, especially English. And the main countries are United States, England, Netherlands and Japan. The average amount of published papers is 164, the average cited frequency is 5 226.64, and the average numbers of the impact factor and immediacy factor are 3.265 and 0.578 respectively, and the average cited half life is 6 years. Twenty microbiological journals are listed based on the impact factor.
