Thinking About Scientific Spirit and Humanistic Spirit

Some modern western critical theorists exaggerate the negative effects of science and technology,and believe that science and technology has become a kind of ideology that helps command,control,even dominate people's mode of thinking,way of life,and mode of production,thus causing the society living crisis,development crisis and culture crisis in industrial societies.Chinese can't adopt the western critical theory without any change.But we also should guard against the one-sided belief that only Chinese are rich in humanism and the humanism and science and technology spirits are opposite to each other.
