Abstract
Objective To investigate the serum hepatocyte growth factor(HGF) level changes of patients with cervical cancer and its clinical significance. Methods The serum HGF level of the normal cervix group, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(cervical intraepithelial neoplasia,CIN) and cervical cancer patients was evaluated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELLSA).The relationship between the serum HGF level and clinical pathology were observed in cervical cancer patients.Observing the change of serum HGF level in cervical cancer patients before and after surgery. Results The serum HGF level of cervical cancer group was significantly higher than CIN group and normal control group(P0.01).The serum HGF level was significantly higher(P0.01) in patients with high clinical stage, low tumor cell differentiation, lymph node metastasis and deep myometrial invasion and tumor diameter being greater than 4cm.Compared with the preoperative, the serum HGF level of cervical cancer patients decreased significantly(P0.01).Conclusions The serum HGF level may be associated with cervical cancer development, metastasis and prognosis. It is valuable to determine the tumor load, therapeutic effect, relapse, metastasis and the prognosis for patients with cervical cancer.
