Abstract
Objective Detecting the change and signification of NPY and NT in patients with uremia by hemadialysis. Methods Examining the level of NPY and NT in 40 patients with uremia before and after hemadialysis compared with 30 normals by radioimmunoassay. Results the level of NPY in plasma of patients with uremia by hemadialysis was significantly higher than normal control group( P 0 01), while the level of NT was lower than normal control group( P 0 01). In those the level of NPY in 24 cases of patients with hypertension was higher than non hypertension( P 0 01), and the level of NT was lower in hypertension than in non hypertension( P 0 01). The level of NPY in 40cases of patients with uremia declined more remarkable after hemadialysis than before( P 0 05), while the level of NT increased more remarkable after hemadialysis than before( P 0 05). Conclusion The synthesis, secretin and metabolic disorder of NPY and NT in patients with uremia by hemadialysis was related with the pathogenic and biologic courses in hypertension.
