Abstract

Objective To investigate the protective effect of 7-difluoromethylgenistein on the damage of PC12 cells induced by oxidative stress. Methods H2O2-induced PC12 cell damage was employed as the model of neuron damage induced by oxidative stress.the proliferation of PC12 cells was determined by 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl ]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT) assay, the apoptosis of PC12 cells was detected by flow cytometry(FCM) with propidium iodide stain, the LDH activity of PC12 cells function by multifunction biochemistry analysator. Results In the presence of 7-difluoromethylgenistein,both the inhibitory rates of PC12 cells and the LDH release of PC12 cells decreased.,and the apoptosis of PC12 cells decreased as well after 40μmol/L H2O2 for 24 h.Conclusion 7-difluoromethylgenistein has protective effect on the damage of PC12 cells induced by oxidative stress.
