On the Structure of XU Wei's Prose

Abstract
This paper systematically analyzes the structural characteristics of XU Wei's prose and their implications.The of XU Wei's prose is endowed with both integral and organic quality,which I will call a net-like structure.The net-like structure is just what XU Wei pursues to establish in his structural theory,and counts as the structural characteristic of XU Wei's prose in practice.XU Wei racks his brains to his prose so that unconventional self-exhibitions can be realized freely in the situations where these self-exhibitions are forbidden,while in the situations where these self-exhibitions are allowed,he seldom structures his prose so complicatedly.Therefore,it can be concluded that whether or not he uses the net-like structure depends on the realization of his self-exhibitions,which I think is the inner impulse of XU Wei's prose structure.
