Investigation and Analysis of the Use of Outpatient Prescriptions

Abstract

Objective To analyze the status of outpatient prescriptions in our hospital and to improve the rational use of drug further.Methods The 3000 outpatient prescriptions were collected randomly from one quarter in 2008 and 2009 respectively,and analyzed retrospectively.Results The effective rate of prescriptions was 93.6% and 95.1% in 2008 and 2009.The kinds of the mean drug use in the prescriptions were 2.5 and 2.2,and the use rate of antibiotics was 50.2% and 48.0%,and the use rate of injections was 41.0% and 35.0%,respectively.The use of basic drugs accounted for 81.5% and 65.8% in the drugs used in the prescriptions,the drug with generic name was 87.8% and 96.9% in the prescription drugs,and the mean prescription sum of money was 55.53 and 102.10 Yuan.Conclusions The use of drug in outpatient prescriptions is rational on the whole in our hospital.However,there are still some problems,such as the higher use rate of antibiotics.
