Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the outpatient prescriptions in our hospital for reference of rational use of drugs. METHODS: A total of 2 420 outpatient prescriptions between July 2011 and December 2012 in No. 474 Hospital of PLA were collected randomly for comment and analysis of the irrational prescriptions. RESULTS: An average of 1. 96 drugs were prescribed per prescription; the average drug consumption sum per prescription was 171. 66 Yuan; the rate of antibiotic use was 22. 71%; the rate injection use was 12. 61%; the rate of using national essential drugs was 23. 57%,and the rate of drugs prescribed in generic names was 99. 82%. There were 464( 19. 17%) irrational prescriptions. CONCLUSION: The outpatient prescriptions in our hospital were basically rational,but the quality of which remains to be improved.
