On Situation Protection of Surface Water Quality in Lüliang City

The Luliang City is located in the arid and semi-arid loess platean zone.The surface water resources are scarece and are polluted in different drgrees.The monitored results of water quality in 17 sections of main river reachs in the whole city indicate that the pollution of surface water is very severe.The causes of pollution are:1) The emission of industry wastewater and domestic sewage is not up to the draining standard,2) The residul chemi-cal fertilizer and pesticide in soil are drained into water body in pace with the agriculture return flow and rainfall runoff.Therefore,the surface water must be protected from following aspects such as:strictly controlling pollution sources,reasonably arranging industry,strengthening monitoring,raising consciousness to protect surface water,to relax contradiction of water resource lacking.
