Abstract

The reform of Chinese law in modern times can date back to one hundred years ago. It is of great significance in theory and reality to review and summarize the course of the improvement of legal system in the last century for the modernization of Chinese Law. The paper analyses the historical process of the reform in the law system in late Qing Dynasty from the aspect of legal culture and penetrates into analyzing the meaning of the reform to gain the enlightment for the legal construction nowadays, that is, taking a correct attitude towards the legal culture of the Chinese and western countries;paying attention to the coordinated development of system legal culture and conception legal culture; realizing favourable interaction between the legal culture and economy and politics.
