Abstract

In order to further the reform on college English teaching and to cultivate the students' comprehensive abilities on English, the article analyzes the current situation and problems of college English teaching. In addition, proposals and strategies concerning the reform in teaching materials, methodologies and approaches, examinations, scaling system and credit system and so on are put forward.
