Effects of edaravone on the level of serum tumor necrosis factor-α,IL-8 and hs-CRP in patients with acute cerebral infarction

Abstract

Objective To study effects of edaravone on serum tumor necrosis factor-α,IL-8 and hs-CRP level in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Methods 85 patients of cerebral infarction were randomly divided and assigned to a therapy group and a control group.40 patients in control group were treated by routine therapy of acute cerebral infarction two weeks.Another 45 patients in therapy group were treated by routine therapy of acute cerebral infarction.in addition to edaravone two weeks.Recording the changes of serum tumor necrosis factor-α,IL-8 and hs-CRP level before treatment and after treatment 3 d,7 d and 14 d.Results After 3d,7d and 14d treatment,serum tumor necrosis factor-α,IL-8 and hs-CRP level decreased more dramatically,lower than that of the control group.Conclusions Edaravone can lower serum tumor necrosis factor-α,IL-8 and hs-CRP in patients with acute cerebral infarction.
