Abstract
Objective To compare the efficacy of propofol versus sevoflurane for anesthesia induction.Mothods Forty patients ASA class ⅠorⅡscheduled for selective surgery were allocated to two groups with 20 cases each.Anesthesia was indused with sevoflurane in group S and with propofol in group P.Systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),heart rate(HR) and oxygen saturation(SpO2) were recorded before induction(T0),at 2min(T1) and 10min(T2) after tracheal intubation.Adverse effects were observed as well. Results The time of loss of consciousness was shorter in group P than that in group S[(83±10)s vs.(106±9)s] (P0.05).Compared with T0,SBP and DBP were significantly decreased at T1 and T2 in both groups.DBPs at T1 and T2 in group P were(54.7±14.4)mmHg and(55.3±9.3)mmHg,which were lower than(63.9±13.2)mmHg and (61.7±14.1)mmHg in group S(P0.01).Conclusion Sevoflurane can be safely used for anesthesia induction with less depressive effect on circulation.
