Promoting Urbanization : the Key to Rapid Development(on the strategy of development for Shanxi Province)

Beginning with the real trend of urbanization and the actual economic and social development of Shanxi province,the paper stresses on the significance of urbanization to the economic construction adjustment and the rapid development of tertiary industry,to sustainable development and the stimulation of aggregate demand of China and to the sustainable economic growth ,pointing out that the key to realize rapid economic growth is to promote urbanization,also the paper points out that while promoting urbanization, it is essential to renew old ideas and old system,make a comprehensive program, be sure of the control on the process of urbanization and improve urban competition.
