Special Attention Should Be Paid to in the Field of Higher Education at Present

After entering the new century,we must pay special attention to three problems in the field of Chinese higher education. Firstly,as the time of continuing expasion of the public institutions of higher education, we should develop private higher education institutions and raise their standards of instruction.Secondly, we should enhance the quality of all institutions of higher education, either private or public. Finally,we should distinguish between elite higher education and mass higher education in public universities.
