Abstract

Isoamyl hexanoate has been synthesized by using ceric sulfate as catalyst. The optimized condition are follow: the weight of catalyst is 1.0g,the mole ratio of alcohol to acid is 1.8:1.0,the reaction time is 2.0h and the taking water reagent(cyclohexane) was 15mL,The esterification yield is 97.2%.The catalyst could be isolated from other matters and repetition use.
