Abstract
Objective:To study the clinical significance of carcinoma associated antigen(CA125,CA153,CA199)and human chorionic gonadotropin(β-HCG)in evaluation of disease extent and monitoring metastasis and recurrence of breast cancer. Methods:These tumor markers in serum were measured in84patients with breast cancers, and change of the markers were observed in these patients with different stage and pathohistological evidence. Results:The later the stage of TNM of breast cancer, the higher levels of4tumor markers would be revealed. There was no significant difference in the levels of4tumor markers for patients with different pathohistological evidence.Combination of these tumor markers increased sensitivity of measurement. Conclusions:Measurement of CA125,CA153,CA199andβ-HCG in serum provided useful information for evaluation of disease extent in patients with breast cancer.
