On Xunzi's inheritance and development of Confucius education thought

In the history of Confucianism,there are many researches on the comparison between Confucius and Mengzi,whereas works on the comparison between Confucius and Xunzi are quite few.In fact,Xunzi not only inherited Confucius education thought,but also developed it.In particular,he put forward some new opinions about the understanding of Confucian classics which enriched Confucius education thought and promoted the development of China ancient education thought.This thesis discusses this topic from five different aspects: education function,education objective,education contents,education principle,and teacher's conditions.
