Abstract

This paper has summarized some of the applications of AFLP molecular marker in ornamental plants as the followings: 1) analysis of genetic diversity and relationships,2) construction of genetic maps,3) gene localization and cloning,4) identification of germplasm resources and cultivars,5) molecular marker-assisted selection.Problems and prospects in AFLP molecular marker are briefly discussed.
