Abstract

Virtual Local Area Network(VLAN)can partition a large scale of network into many segments,and restrict accessment from one segment to another.Using VLAN,we can improve management of the network;reduce inter segment traffic and enhance security of the network.This paper introduces how to plan and configure VLAN with Cisco Switches and Routers of the Campus Network,Sichuan University of Science and Technology.With VLAN feature,the domain management of th campus network is greatly improved and enhanced.
